SHI tried selling earrings for $52 for the first year I made resin jewelry & sales were okay, but not great
One day randomly I priced some earrings at $42 just on a whim and they sold sooo much better 🙌🏻
I realized the $40 range was the ‘sweet spot’ for my earrings so I started making 80% of them in that range
I still make items I love, I just make them within a price range people actually see as being worth it to them
And here’s what happened:
👉🏻 sales tripled. From an average market of $365 to consistently hitting $1000+ per market
👉🏻 my average sale actually increased from $26 to $45 because people were more likely to buy the higher priced item now that they saw it as worth it
👉🏻 my production sky-rocketed. Since people wanted smaller + simpler designs at a lower price that’s what I made and those designs are easier so I can make way more = I can sell more.
It’s so important to spot your ‘dead weight’ items - the products you’re wasting your time creating that people aren’t going to pay for
