WIPOV you want to add whimsy to your Easter table and bake everyone their own cakelet bird’s nest 🐣🪺
Grab your Wilton Mini Fluted Tube Pan and get baking, here’s what to do:
🧁 Bake your favorite chocolate cake recipe in a greased Wilton Mini Fluted Tube Pan, allow to cool, and remove to a sheet of parchment paper
🍫 Melt Dark Cocoa and Light Cocoa, Candy Melts in separate bowls then add some White Candy Melts mixed with Light Cocoa Candy Melts in a 3rd bowl
🧁 Place melted candy in 3 different piping bags and pipe over the top and sides of each mini fluted cake, transfer to the fridge to set (15-30 minutes)
🍫 Once mini cakes are set, turn them upside down and use piping tip 233 to pipe chocolate buttercream on top of each cake.
🧁 Make an eggshell by add a thick layer of White Candy Melts into a small sphere mold, let them set then remove from the mold and use a sharp knife to make a jagged edge to resemble a cracked egg shell.
🍫Sit the candy shell onto the middle of the nest and use tip 1A and yellow buttercream to add a chick into each shell.
🧁Use mini black sprinkles for the eyes, a small orange Jimmie for the beak, and tip 352 to add little wings
