KRYes, we all hear about the fake COWIN app circulating through sms links through the instagram page of @kerala_police_cyberdome . So I started to investigate the matter as a concerned cyber experts. And our investigation proved that, this app is infected with a malware that send automatic sms to people in our contacts. This app have the permission for location sms and contact so there is a chance for some attacks with thia app such as OTP phishing. So please beware, if you had installed this app, please uninstall the app and check your running backround apps. Anyway I had reported this to hosting and other service providers of this app and within few moments, The app had been disabled by GitHub and tiny.cc . Any way I am glad to help @kerala_police_cyberdome .
Please be always beware when installing apps from other sources rather than the official app stores, even it is send by your friends.

https://pass.bsafe.kerala.gov.in എന്ന ലിങ്ക് വഴി പൊതുജനങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഈ സൗകര്യം പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്താം. സൈബര്ഡോം നോഡല് ഓഫീസര് എഡിജിപി മനോജ് എബ്രഹാമിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലാണ് ഓണ്ലൈന് സംവിധാനം വികസിപ്പിച്ചത്.

അത്യാവശ്യ സന്ദര്ഭങ്ങളില് യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്നതിനാവശ്യമായ പാസ്സ് ഓണ്ലൈനില് ലഭിക്കുവാന് യാത്രക്കാര് പേര്, മേല്വിലാസം, വാഹനത്തിന്റെ നമ്പര്, സഹയാത്രികന്റെ പേര്, യാത്ര പോകേണ്ടതും തിരിച്ചു വരേണ്ടതുമായ സ്ഥലം, തീയതി, സമയം, മൊബൈല് നമ്പര്, ഐഡന്റിറ്റി കാർഡ് വിവരങ്ങൾ തുടങ്ങിയവ നൽകി അപേക്ഷ സമർപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്. ഈ വിവരങ്ങള് പോലീസ് കണ്ട്രോള് സെന്ററിൽ പരിശോധിച്ചശേഷം യോഗ്യമായ അപേക്ഷകൾക്ക് അനുമതി നൽകുന്നതാണ് . യാത്രക്കാർക്ക് തങ്ങളുടെ അപേക്ഷയുടെ സ്റ്റാറ്റസ് പ്രസ്തുത വെബ്സൈറ്റിൽ നിന്നും മൊബൈൽ നമ്പർ, ജനന തീയതി എന്നിവ നൽകി പരിശോധിക്കാവുന്നതും, അനുമതി ലഭിച്ചതായ യാത്ര പാസ് ഡൌൺലോഡ് ചെയ്തോ, സ്ക്രീൻ ഷോട്ട് എടുത്തോ ഉപയോഗിക്കാവുന്നതാണ് . യാത്രവേളയില് ഇവയോടൊപ്പം ആപേക്ഷയിൽ പറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്ന തിരിച്ചറിയൽ രേഖയും പോലീസ് പരിശോധനയ്ക്കായി നിർബന്ധമായും ലഭ്യമാക്കണം.
