Something that surprised me about many major cities in LATAM was how biker forward they were 👏
Did you know that Bogota, Colombia is the biking capital of Latin America and is famous for being so bike friendly?
In the 1970’s, they started an initiative called ‘Ciclovia’ (cycle way) where major roads are closed to cars every Sunday and holidays. Now many other cities around the world have followed suit!
These cities in Latin America close their roads to cars EVERY SUNDAY and HOLIDAYS from approximately 7/8am - 2pm 👇

As an avid biker, I think it’s an amazing initiative that more cities should work to implement and improve their biking infrastructure. Not only is this good for the environment, it’s great for encouraging people to be more active and get outside.
