India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) is being sold as a law to protect your digital privacy and personal data. How will Modi become PM in 2029? Not by giving you a better quality of life, but by silencing and controlling every Indian voice who dares to ask for it. Using complicated amendments to the DPDPA privacy law, the government can now: • Deny public inquiries raised through RTI by claiming privacy, effectively finishing RTI. • Take away your digital data protection even for minor violations as small as running a red light. • Fine researchers and journalists up to ₹50 crore if what they publish is considered unacceptable. The DPDPA data protection law becomes a power weapon for large-scale digital data control and surveillance, capable of being used against the opposition and ordinary citizens alike. Leaving NO ONE to hold the government accountable for basic quality of life. So now you won’t ask, “if not Modi then who.” Because you can be jailed for inquiring, searching, or asking questions online under expanding digital surveillance. Watch, share and stay vigilant. The time to ask questions about digital privacy and data rights in India is now. #privacy #dpdpact #modi #indiagram #rahulgandhi

In Parliament on March 23, 2026, a strong voice was raised for millions of mobile users across India. The question was simple but powerful — if we pay for mobile data, why should it disappear overnight? This is not just about internet packs. It is about fairness, digital rights, and respect for every rupee people spend. Unused data should not vanish. It should roll over, it should benefit the user, and it should work for the people who paid for it. When everyday problems like mobile data, recharge cycles, and basic connectivity are discussed in Parliament, it shows that the voice of the common citizen still matters. Real change begins when small issues that affect millions are taken seriously. A step towards digital fairness. A step towards consumer respect. A step towards a better system for every mobile user in India. #raghavchadha #rajyasabha #digitalrights #mobiledata #consumerrights ( indianews telecomindia datarollover voiceofpeople digitalindia aap indianpolitics internetforall fairrecharge techpolicy)

UPI isn’t just another app. It’s India’s payment backbone. From street vendors to corporate boardrooms, millions rely on instant digital transfers every day. But with scale comes vulnerability fraud risks, data privacy questions, and the need for robust monitoring mechanisms. The debate isn’t about doubting digital progress. It’s about strengthening it. If UPI is the foundation of India’s cashless economy, oversight must evolve as fast as adoption. Better fraud detection. Stronger regulatory monitoring. Clearer accountability. Because convenience without security is a liability. Digital trust is built not just on innovation but on protection. #UPI #DigitalIndia #CyberSecurity #ParliamentDebate #TheExplainery Copyright Disclaimer: This content is not owned by us. Demand Raised for Data Rollover Policy to Protect Consumers 📶 A strong demand has been raised in Parliament highlighting the issue of unused mobile data getting forfeited at midnight despite being fully paid for by consumers. The concern focuses on the need for fair digital access in line with the vision of Digital India 🇮🇳. The key demands include allowing data rollover so unused data carries forward, adjusting leftover data against future recharges, and introducing a feature to transfer unused data to family and friends. It was emphasized that in today’s digital age, connectivity is a necessity and consumers should not lose access to services they have already paid for. The call aims to push telecom policies towards greater transparency, flexibility, and consumer rights. 💡📱

The Government of India has blocked a total of 652 mobile applications citing concerns over data security and other alleged malpractices, according to a statement made in the Lok Sabha by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). The disclosure came in response to a query raised by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, seeking clarity on the extent and nature of app restrictions imposed by the government. Minister of State for MeitY, Jitin Prasada, stated in a written reply that these actions were taken under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act. This provision empowers the government to block access to online content in the interest of national sovereignty, integrity, security, and public order. The government emphasized that such measures are necessary to safeguard users’ data and protect digital infrastructure from potential threats. However, the response left several key concerns unaddressed. Notably, the ministry did not provide a detailed breakdown of the blocked applications, including how many of them are of Chinese origin. Additionally, it did not clarify whether any previously banned apps have re-entered the Indian market under new names or through rebranding strategies. This lack of transparency has raised questions regarding enforcement mechanisms and the effectiveness of existing monitoring systems. Efforts by Hindustan Times to obtain further clarification from officials of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology did not yield a response. This has added to the ambiguity surrounding the issue, especially given ongoing concerns about foreign digital platforms operating in India. Meanwhile, China has maintained that India has banned over 300 Chinese mobile applications since June 2020. This claim is supported by records from a World Trade Organisation (WTO) Council for Trade in Services meeting dated July 25, 2025, which documented proceedings from June 13. According to these records, the restrictions have impacted a wide range of sectors, including social media, gaming, and e-commerce.

Big Change in Parliament: Digital Attendance Meets Artificial Intelligence A significant transformation is taking shape in the functioning of India's Parliament, as the Lok Sabha introduces stricter attendance norms alongside the gradual integration of artificial intelligence into its daily operations. The reforms signal a clear shift toward accountability, efficiency, and full participation by Members of Parliament. Under the revised attendance system, an MP's presence will be counted only if they are physically inside the House and seated at their designated place. Signing attendance registers outside the chamber will no longer be permitted. This means that if an MP arrives late after the House has already been adjourned, their attendance for the day will not be recorded, and they will not be eligible for salary or allowances for that sitting. The rule aims to ensure that attendance reflects actual participation in parliamentary proceedings, not merely procedural compliance. The Om Birla, while clarifying the changes, emphasized that the intent is not punitive but corrective. The objective is to encourage discipline, punctuality, and meaningful engagement inside the House. According to the Speaker, a functioning democracy requires lawmakers to be present, attentive, and actively involved in debates, especially during crucial discussions such as the President's Address. At the same time, Parliament is moving steadily toward deeper technological integration. While proceedings are already largely paperless, artificial intelligence is now being tested for real-time speech translation within the House. Current trials show around 80 percent accuracy, with a target of achieving near-perfect precision. From the upcoming Monsoon Session, fully Al-based translation systems are expected to be operational, significantly reducing delays and language barriers during debates. The impact of Al is already visible in parliamentary workflows. Tasks that previously took nearly four hours, such as transcription and translation, are now being completed in about 30 minutes. In the near future, Al tools are also expected to assist MPs with research support, helping them access.
