The Dancing with the Stars family is officially growing! Today at the Hulu Get Real event, the first details were dropped for the brand-new series: Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.
This isn’t a celebrity season—it’s a high-stakes search for the next generation of professional dancers. We’re going to see 12 elite dancers living together and battling it out for the ultimate prize: a permanent spot on the pro roster for Season 35 this fall!
What we know so far:
• The Host: Our reigning Season 34 champion Robert Irwin is taking the mic! He’s moving from the dance floor to the host’s chair to lead the search.
• The Judges: It’s a powerhouse family duo. The legendary Shirley Ballas—who trained icons like Derek and Julianne Hough—is judging alongside her son, 3x Mirrorball winner Mark Ballas.
• The Production: The show was filmed in Brisbane, Australia (Queensland). Because of the intensive “boot camp” format, they wrapped the whole season in half the usual time, meaning the pressure was on and the dancing is next level.
• The Date: Premiere night is Monday, July 13 on ABC and streaming the next day on Hulu.
