#jamartejada #farmaceutico #envelhecimento #ciencia #healthylifestyle #pharmacy #old #age

Dr. David Sinclair is a Harvard professor of genetics and one of the world's leading longevity researchers. This is what he takes every day to slow his biological aging — and why. NMN — 1 gram every morning. Boosts NAD+ levels which decline with age and are critical for cellular energy and DNA repair. Resveratrol — 1 gram taken with fat to maximise absorption. Activates sirtuins — the longevity genes that regulate aging. Spermidine — 1 to 2mg daily. Triggers autophagy — your body's cellular cleaning process that removes damaged cells. Glycine — supports collagen production and is a precursor to glutathione — your body's master antioxidant. Metformin — switched to berberine as a natural alternative for blood sugar regulation and metabolic health. Vitamin D3 and K2 — essential for immune function, bone density, cardiovascular health and hormonal regulation. Baby aspirin — for cardiovascular protection. Taken with a small amount of fat. CoQ10 — to offset the depletion caused by his statin use and support mitochondrial function. Sinclair also skips breakfast, exercises regularly and monitors his biological age — not his chronological age. Save this. Follow @fixbrainfog — Human trials has started this year for age reversal studies and we have a post on it today. . ⚠️ Educational only. Not medical advice.

Follow @thelongevitychronicle for science - backed longevity tips. Modern life has quietly removed many of the challenges our biology evolved to handle. For most of human history, people experienced regular stressors like cold, hunger, and physical exertion. Today, we sit more, move less, and have constant access to food. According to aging researcher David Sinclair, this shift may be suppressing powerful survival pathways inside our cells. This concept is called hormesis. In simple terms, small amounts of stress activate protective mechanisms that help the body repair damage, reduce inflammation, and maintain cellular health. Activities like exercise, fasting, and exposure to mild environmental stress can trigger these ancient biological systems. Scientists believe these responses evolved billions of years ago to help organisms survive difficult conditions. When activated, they may help protect against disease and slow aspects of biological aging. The idea is simple but powerful: a little controlled stress can make the body stronger and more resilient over time. Credits: Video: @drchatterjee Speaker: @davidsinclairphd. Comment NEWS to join my Longevity Newsletter and get the latest longevity research and practical tips to live healthier and age better. This might be the most important shift in modern medicine: What if we’ve been targeting the wrong thing all along? According to David Sinclair, many of the diseases we treat separately today may share a common root: Aging itself. Think about it: • Alzheimer’s • Cancer • Heart disease • Metabolic disorders They look different… but they often rise together with age. In lab models, when scientists reverse aspects of biological aging, something remarkable happens: The disease doesn’t just improve. Sometimes, it disappears. Why? Because a younger biological state means: • Better DNA repair • Stronger cellular function • Improved resilience to damage • More efficient tissue regeneration In other words, the body regains its ability to heal itself. Important context: Most of this research is still in animal models, and we are not yet able to fully reverse aging in humans. But the implication is massive: Instead of treating diseases one by one… we may be able to target the underlying process that drives them all. That process is aging. And if we can slow it — or even partially reverse it — we may change the trajectory of multiple diseases at once. That’s the real promise of longevity science. — Copyright disclosure: Educational commentary on publicly available material featuring David Sinclair. Estas proteínas ajudam a: • reparar o ADN • proteger as células • reduzir processos inflamatórios • e abrandar alguns mecanismos associados ao envelhecimento celular.
