UK parents — save this for August 📌 We went to the Thomas & Friends Day at the East Anglia Railway Museum today and honestly… it’s such a lovely day out for little ones 🥹 From meeting Thomas & friends, to unlimited train rides, activities & performances and a museum to explore — it’s one of those days that feels really magical without being overwhelming ✨ If you’ve got a train-obsessed toddler, this is 100% one to add to your list 👀 📅 Next dates here: 29th, 30th & 31st August 🎟️ These are special event days so definitely one to plan ahead! There are other dates in the UK but this one was closest to us in Norwich. Save this for the next time you need a day out on a rainy day! ~ @mercedesbenzworld Weybridge, Surrey ~ free parking and entry. ~ it’s part museum and part car showroom with lots of different adult driving experiences you can book. For kids aged 3-5 there’s a mini driving school {£6 per child including a driving licence at the end}. My daughter is 6 and she was desperate to do it so they said as long as she wasn’t too cramped in the car she could. ~ for older children or with adult help there’s a scaletrix for £3 a session to drive cars around a fast model track. ~ the cafe looked good & there’s lots to watch on the tracks outside, even my husband and I were impressed by the cars aquaplaning. We stopped in on the way back from RHS Wisley nearby but you could also combine with @brooklandsmuseum or the @official_londonbusmuseum right next door. ~ and 👋 I’m Rebecca. I share London/South Eastern family days out and travel adventures far & wide with kids. #familydayout #daysoutwithkids

Sadly I’ve not actually gone further than the garden so far this Easter holidays after my operation, but I hope this gives you some inspiration if you’re looking for some free things to do with kids. A couple of favourites; the Museum Of The Home is super nostalgic for adults too, and the National Maritime Museum is HUGE and loads to do for free, then head up to Greenwich park for the most amazing views of London. Would you take your 3 year old on this?? Honestly, this is still one of my favourite ever things we’ve done with the kids and the best €8 I’ve ever spent. They loved it so much too. Make sure you save this for your trip to Montenegro because you won’t be disappointed. The views are incredible, it’s very safe - you’re strapped in and you control the speed of the car, and it’s so much fun. 📍 Kotor Cable Car, Kotor, Montenegro 💰 €8 per person (you’ll need to also get the cable car to the top, which is €23 pp - I have a full reel on this, which I’ve linked so you can see all the details) ⛰️ Just the most amazing views over Kotor and Bokka Bay 💡 If you head up for sunset, just be aware that it can get VERY busy, we went late morning and queued for about 25 mins on our first go and 10 minutes on our second but I have heard the queues can be over an hour, so make sure you plan ahead! 👉🏻Don’t forget to repost this and follow along for more family adventures in the Northwest 🇬🇧and beyond ✈️ #daysoutwithkids #familydaysout #familytravels #holidayswithkids #travelfam #travelwithkids #montenegrotravel #kotorcablecar #alpinecoaster #kotor #bokabay #mountainviews #wirralmums
