This is a little project that’s been on my mind for awhile but we’re finally at the stage where the kitchen renovation is actually going ahead. This extraordinary Delft garniture set, crafted around 1690, was separated for nearly a century—its three vases scattered across European collections. Through archival research, careful observation, and a fortunate rediscovery, we were able to trace their provenance and reunite them, just as they once stood in the collection of Oscar Huldschinsky, one of the great art patrons of the early 20th century.

This 300-year-old posset pot was once used to serve a warm, spiced drink made of curdled milk, beer or wine, and sugar—originally used as a remedy, then later as a celebratory treat, especially at weddings.
With its double handles and spout, it was passed hand-to-hand, making it as social as it was soothing. Made in 18th-century England, this beautifully preserved delftware piece speaks to centuries of celebration and care.
