Bright marmalade notes lead into caramelized sugar and brown sugar sweetness, finishing with the soft, rounded fruit character of ripe persimmon. It is complex yet approachable, with balance and depth that reflect both terroir and careful cultivation. Available online and in the shop.

Some important context on the newest single origin we are releasing next week: Finca El Progreso - Gilberto Salinas (Don Gilberto). We’ve worked with Gilberto Salinas for over two years—and now we’re proud to share his first Pink Bourbon micro-lot (just 30kg). Grown in Cauca, Colombia, this coffee represents more than quality. Gilberto is leading a group of Afro-Colombian and indigenous farmers toward specialty coffee—creating better, more stable livelihoods in a region long impacted by coca production. Don Gilberto recognizes the harmful effects of this illicit drug and has most recently established a legally constituted producers program with the goal to access the specialty coffee market, selling coffee based on quality for better prices and growth within his community. He sets a precedent that we at Maiden look up to. Stay tuned for what will be the first of many microlots produced by Gilberto Salinas (crafted in partnership with @cosecha_traders ).
