CASpoiler alert: this will not be an everlasting love 😆😭😭😭😭. I was over the moon when I scored not one but TWO pieces from Iris Apfel’s closet via @therealreal. But… the measurements lied to me. The vest said 37” bust, but in reality she’s a 32😫 and ya girl really needed those extra 5 inches. So now I’m screaming, crying, throwing up, not eating dinner 😆. I don’t have many options but here’s what I can do:
-Alter it by opening up the sides so it fits my hips and gives me room up top,
-Add extra fabric panels (but then I risk messing with a piece of fashion history and I would HATE to do that), or
-Worst case, sell it (I know I’d make $$$, but I don’t want to because this was THE piece I wanted most from Iris’s closet).
