DIDexcom inaccuracy can feel scary and incredibly frustrating especially when you rely on the data to make real time decisions 🤔
The good news is accuracy can often be improved with a few intentional adjustments 👇
1. Soak your sensor for 12 to 24 hours before activating ✨
Placing a new sensor early allows the tissue to settle and reduces inflammation related inaccuracies once it is turned on
2. Choose a placement that minimizes compression errors ‼️
Avoid areas where you sleep lean or apply pressure as compression can falsely drive readings low and create unnecessary stress
3. If you choose to calibrate do it carefully 🩸
Only calibrate when blood sugars are stable and trending flat and avoid calibrating during rapid rises or drops
4. Support hydration and mineral balance 💦 🧂
Dehydration and low electrolytes can absolutely impact sensor performance and glucose accuracy more than most people realize
