You’ve been planting pots the hard way. Getting flowers evenly spaced in a planter usually turns into a guessing game. You dig a hole… move the plant… dig again… and somehow everything still ends up crooked. This trick makes it simple. Lay the empty nursery pots in the planter exactly where you want the plants. Then fill the container with soil around them. When you pull the pots out, you’re left with perfectly sized holes that fit each plant. Why this works so well: • Your spacing stays even and intentional • Roots slide right into place without forcing them • You avoid disturbing the soil structure • Planting becomes faster and cleaner A couple extra tips for better results: • Use good drainage soil for containers • Leave about 1 inch at the top of the pot so water doesn’t overflow • Water lightly after planting so soil settles around the roots Small tricks like this make planting easier and help planters look full, balanced, and professionally arranged.
