CLI was still celebrating our Friendsgiving at LPC when I got the news that my cuz — the big homie @mr_wit_errrrthing — lost his life. It crushed me. He was genuine, loyal, and one of the good-hearted ones.
A lot of people in church make the mistake of judging people from the streets, but let me be real: as an ex-Crip myself, some of the most loyal, solid, and supportive people I’ve ever known were Crips and Bloods — long before I ever met a pastor or walked into a church. Loyalty is loyalty, and love is love.
So this message is to all the homies, no matter what you rep:
It’s time to stop the senseless killings.
We’re losing too many brothers. Families are grieving. Kids are growing up without their fathers. The cycle has to break — and I’m not just preaching about change, I lived it. By God’s grace, I broke that cycle, and now I’ve dedicated my life to helping others do the same, regardless of faith, crew, background, or block.
We are more than this street violence. We are more than retaliation. We are more than the pain we grew up in. To everyone grieving right now… may God comfort your heart, strengthen you, and surround you with peace. You’re not alone. 💙🕊️
