We started with the facts on redistricting. But once leadership steps in and takes ownership, the conversation changes. Now it’s about accountability — and the questions that come with it. That’s where we are right now.

Special shout out to all the residents who came out, listened, and asked important questions. Community voices matter, and it’s great to see neighbors engaged and speaking up about the future of our area.

Florida has been on one of the hottest 30 year runs of any state in the nation, and the last 7 years have been epic. We CANNOT rest on our laurels. With unapologetic conservatism, we’ll continue to lead the way, build upon our successes, and plan for Florida’s next 30 year run.

PSA 👉🏾 Unlike other cities and/or states, the Nation's Capital has ALWAYS been inundated with intense political and community engagement. When it comes to local debates, town hall meetings, live forums, and council meetings -- concerned citizens had no cut cards expressing their views, live and direct! Some younger residents and/or transplants that are not used to this kind of involvement, may get caught off guard when confronted with these kinds of situations. Before the Social Media era, politicians, community activists, journalists, parents, teachers, coaches, police officers, concerned citizens etc., would come together and let it all out ORATORICALLY up close and personal. Nowadays, lots of folks don’t want to go beyond the complaining stage on their keyboards and make excuses for not participating in REAL community engagement. In my opinion, there is no legitimate reason for us not to have more forums like the Mayoral debate hosted by @freedcproject yesterday. However, they MUST be fairly and equally so that the PEOPLE can have a voice and not have their concerns hand-picked out of a basket. Additionally, the Mayoral candidates who took time out of their busy schedules had the right to debate with one another at the level they deemed necessary. No one was ATTACKED and no one was MYSOGINISTIC. Facts and opinions were presented and time was given to them to rightfully defend themselves. In closing 👉🏾 for those who may be confused, DC Decades does not exist to please you and and operate being concerned about whether you're going to agree or disagree with what we do. I made a decision to curate the DC culture the way I see fit and the political process will ALWAYS be an intricate part of the Nation's Capital's landscape. With that said, don't expect me to allow you to get in these threads and disrespect me saying things that I'm 100% sure wouldn't be said in person during a sensible conversation. Don't be a weirdo lol. We can ALL agree to disagree RESPECTFULLY and with TACT. #DCHistory #TheVillage #TheRealDC *Footage of the National Town Hall meeting ~ Divided City is courtesy of ABC news

Last night in Greensboro, Florida, I took action and served a Constitutional Notice to city and county officials. This is about standing up for the Supreme Law of the Land the United States Constitution. Across Florida, people are waking up and realizing that our rights, our communities, and our future are worth defending. This movement is about accountability, transparency, and restoring the rule of law. If we don’t stand up for our rights today, we may not have the freedom to stand tomorrow. I’m traveling city by city and county by county across Florida, making sure our leaders remember that their authority comes from the people and that the Constitution must always come first. This is bigger than politics. This is about freedom, responsibility, and the future of our state. I’m asking every Floridian to stand with me. Share this message. Speak up in your communities. Hold your local officials accountable. Together, we can restore integrity to our government and protect the liberties that generations before us fought to preserve. I’m grateful to be featured by Spectrum News NY1 as part of their “Know Your Electeds” series. My commitment to public service started right at home, watching my parents show up for our community and understanding early on what it means to lead with purpose. Today, that same commitment guides the work I do every day for Southeast Queens whether it’s expanding opportunities for our young people, supporting working families or making sure our residents feel heard, informed and represented. This work has never been about titles it’s about people, community and making sure no one gets left out of the conversation. Thank you to Spectrum News NY1 for the feature and for helping tell that story.

Today I had the opportunity to attend Miami’s Community News – Powering Progress in Miami-Dade. It was a great experience listening and learning how FPL works within our communities, especially their role during hurricane season, and hearing more about the services provided by Miami-Dade County Utilities. I also had the chance to connect with mayors from different municipalities, along with presidents and directors, making this a very encouraging networking experience. Opportunities like this remind me how important it is to stay informed, build relationships, and continue working together to strengthen our communities. A great day of learning, listening, and leadership. 🌴

I discuss my grandmother’s wisdom about how God chooses young people for their strength and older people for their knowledge, emphasizing that we need intergenerational collaboration. I challenge older leaders in politics, church, and organizations to mentor the next generation and step aside, comparing leadership to a relay race where passing the baton is essential. I acknowledge the contributions of older generations while urging them to develop younger leaders, provide mentorship, and create space for fresh ideas and innovation so we can move forward together. #GenerationalLeadership #PassTheBaton #MentorshipMatters #NextGeneration #Leadership Intergenerational YouthEmpowerment SuccessionPlanning CommunityLeadership GrandmaWisdom RelayRace Innovation DiscipleshipAndMentoring
