THAn afternoon with my Dad as it hapoened. 🏏
We went to Lords cricket ground to watch the Women’s @englandcricket team make it five wins out of five in their International Twenty20 match against New Zealand. Go on girls! 👏🙌
My Dad and I have been going to cricket matches together for years as we both love the sport. My Dad played it until he was 52 and when I think of my childhood, Cricket always springs to mind as we spent most weekends over the Summer going to Dad’s matches and playing with all the other kids in the sunshine. Yesterday was particularly special as for the first time ever, we sat in the chairman’s box and had the most incredible view of the game.
Tickets were on sale for as little as £15 yesterday so thank you @englandcricket for keeping such a fun, family event so affordable. I’ve really noticed the rise in ticket prices for things like the concerts, the theatre, immersive experiences and days out but yesterday there were so many parents with children watching the game and having fun. If you’re thinking of taking your kids for the first time, look up The Hundred. It’s Cricket, turbo-charged with all the vibes of an American basketball game and fast-paced for extra fun.
I can’t wait to take Noa when she’s a bit older as Thanks for the invite @wearecuriouspanda @lindseyev, @dezziedoesinsta and I had so much fun. Xx
