Built in 1771, this abandoned Episcopal church in Brooklyn, CT holds more than history🕊️
As the oldest Episcopal church in the state, it’s a Georgian masterpiece frozen in time, with its original wooden pews and eerie silence.
📍Added to the National Historic Register in 1970, it feels like a museum of the past.
But there’s a darker side to this place...
Allegedly, it’s connected to Michael Bruce Ross, a serial killer who took the lives of over 10 young women, including Tammy Williams, a 17-year-old abducted near here.
Ross was executed in 2005, the last man in Connecticut to face the death penalty.
When I visited, I didn’t know about its sinister ties, but it felt cold, quiet, and heavy🕯️
The church is estimated to be worth $32,000 and can be viewed from the dirt parking lot off the road.
Allegedly, there’s a fundraiser party once a year for this museum!
