Ed, Edd n Eddy is a classic Canadian-American animated comedy series that aired on Cartoon Network from January 4, 1999, to November 8, 2009. Created by Danny Antonucci, it’s one of the network’s longest-running original shows, known for its wild slapstick humor, inventive scams, perpetual summer vacation vibe, and unique hand-drawn style with thick black outlines and exaggerated expressions.
The show follows three preteen boys—all nicknamed variations of “Ed”—who live in the suburban cul-de-sac of Peach Creek. They’re always scheming to con the neighborhood kids out of money so they can buy their obsession: massive jawbreakers!
The Main Trio (The Eds)
• Ed (voiced by Matt Hill): The tall, strong, super dim-witted but lovable one. Loves buttered toast, chickens, and comic books. Super goofy and often ruins plans accidentally.
• Edd “Double D” (voiced by Samuel Vincent): The smart, polite, neat-freak inventor with the sock hat (hiding a secret underneath). He’s the brains and moral compass, always saying things like “Goodness gracious!”
• Eddy (voiced by Tony Sampson): The short, greedy, loud-mouthed leader obsessed with scams and jawbreakers. Arrogant and quick-tempered, but deep down cares about his friends.
Their plans almost always backfire hilariously, leading to chaos, chases, and cartoon physics mayhem.
