On 14 August 1965, The Beatles filmed their fourth and final live appearance for The Ed Sullivan Show at CBS Studio 50 in New York, just as their 1965 US tour was about to begin. This clip comes from the dress rehearsal, which was partly filmed before the main evening recording. οΏΌ
Help! closed the set that day, with The Beatles also performing I Feel Fine, Iβm Down, Act Naturally, Ticket To Ride and Yesterday. Beatles Bible notes that the group spent hours rehearsing because they were unhappy with the initial sound balance, which makes this footage a rare look at the band still adjusting things before the televised performance. οΏΌ
