FAIRY-LOLLIPOPS ✨ ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ Hier sind bereits die ersten Blüten-Lollies entstanden…geht total schnell und die Kinder können dabei das Allermeiste selber machen. Perfekt also für einen Kindergeburtstag 🌷 Ihr braucht: Essbare Blüten, wir haben Primeln, Veilchen und Gänseblümchen genomme Bonbons, wir verwenden zuckerfreie Zitronenmelisse-Ricola @ricola_ch für die gelben sowie „Gletscher-Eis-Bonbons“ für die blauen Lollies. Lollipop-Form (im Internet bestellt) Kleine Stöckchen (z.Bsp. Hasel) Blüten unbedingt zuerst pressen! Sie bleiben dann viel schöner, als wenn ihr die Blüten frisch verwendet. Mit der schönen Seite nach unten in die Form legen, Stöckchen platzieren und dann je zwei Bonbons in die Mulde legen. Im vorgeheizten Backofen bei 180° während 8-9 Minuten schmelzen lassen. Ganz auskühlen lassen, dann vorsichtig aus der Form lösen. Viel Freude! ┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈┈ . . . . . . . . . . #frühling #blüten #lollipop #edibleflowers #wildkitchen

Yes, making sugar flowers is a time consuming process. Yes, it can be repetitive. But now in fact, I love my time making sugar flowers for (at least) 4 good reasons! 1. I use a flexible flower gum paste recipe so I don’t get any breakage with my petals anymore. There are few things that are more disappointing than spending so much time making a flower, only to have it break on you! 2. When I work, I categorise all the little tasks into mini production lines. So I minimise the time fiddling around & switching between tools & I feel super efficient and like I’ve accomplished something when I’ve done 1 task (even if it is only in my mind! 😂) 3. Flower-making time is actually a restful time for me. I get to sit down, fill my vision & mind with the pleasurable act of making beautiful flowers. 4. I get to catch up watching TV shows on my iPad! With the exception of strong florals like lavender, the overall taste of edible flowers is fairly subtle. Here’s a few that I’m harvesting this week in the garden. If you’re new to edible flowers and wondering how to use them, simply toss a few into an ice cube tray & freeze to transform any drink instantly. Sprinkle onto salads for a dazzling effect. Sip as soothing elixirs for the soul. Even bake into your next tray of cookies & astound everyone with your eye-catching treats. Please ignore all the typos in the caption.
