YES your baby ACTUALLY needs to go to the bathroom hygienically and you haven’t learned their lingo yet! Babies are born with a STRONG instinct (like all mammals 🐘) to go potty in a place that won’t kill off our entire species 😂😂 Makes sense…Here’s how to start!👇 STEP 1: Shift your mindset. A diaper isn’t a toilet — it’s just backup for when life happens or you miss a pee. STEP 2: Even if you’re just testing EC out, treat the diaper like backup from day one. It changes everything later on. STEP 3: For newborns, start with the wake-up pee. Catch it right after baby wakes — they’re wired to stay dry while sleeping. STEP 4: Try this rhythm: wake → potty → feed → a little play → potty → nap → repeat. That’s the Baby Care Cycle. STEP 5: Use the Classic EC Position (baby’s back to your chest, hands under thighs - as shown in this reel!!). If they fuss, try the Cradled Position. STEP 6: Just start with one pottytunity a day. That’s enough to build confidence — for both of you. Comment “SHOW ME” 👇 below to learn how to do this with your baby. #eliminationcommunication #babycare #newborncare #reellove2026

No, pottying your baby does not “make them grow up faster”. Here’s what it actually does: 🚽 Respects your child’s preference to stay clean and dry 🚽 Reduces diaper rash and fussiness 🚽 Teaches a valuable skill from a young age 🚽 Reduces messy diapers and potty-training drama In fact, pottying your baby is letting her be a baby the way nature intended—clean and dry! Want to let your baby be a clean and dry baby, too? From the perspective of a working mom of 3 👇 This didn't happen by accident. Let's start from the beginning... 👀I started paying attention to his potty cues and rhythms from the day he was born, and started responding to those cues within the first week. That grimace he made when he woke from a nap? Has to pee. That squirm after a feed? Poop is coming. 🚽I never expected him to just use a diaper. I didn't just "change" a diaper, I always gave him a chance to do his business in the open before putting on a fresh one. Even as a newborn less than 3 months old, he was holding it and waiting for the offer with consistency. 🎧 I prioritized listening and responding to his actual potty signals over trying to offer in advance to "save a diaper." This meant potty time was fast, immediate, and clearly connected the dots for him: "When I feel THAT in my body? Here's what's supposed to happen..." THIS is actually the critical skill that most toddlers are missing to successfully begin potty training (and it's the secret sauce I teach inside the Born Ready course) 👩‍🍼I taught our other caregivers how to respond to his signals too. We packed his bag with plenty of diapers for the day, AND we showed them how to potty him and when. 🐥 By the time he was past the shift to solid foods and began to crawl? We stopped using diapers at home during the day. He was getting 99% of poops in the potty (and consistently ASKING when he needed to go) so they just weren't necessary. It's so much easier for him to learn to crawl, stand, and walk without a bulky diaper in the way! 💞 It tells him, we trust you. And he trusts us. He knows his voice matters, and we've given him the language to communicate with confidence that he'll be understood. This is natural infant potty learning, and anyone can do it, no super mom skills required 🦸‍♀️ Even if you're exhausted, overwhelmed, and haven't showered in three days, you can SAVE TIME by folding this into your existing routine - (so you can finally grab that shower 🚿) Comment LISTEN for the link to the Born Ready course, where I give you the exact steps to put your 💩 diaper days behind you 👇

Interesting. This is another reason why I am fascinated by @hiro Repost @violeta.parenting.science Today, many children in the West are still in diapers at 3 or even 4 and the number of kids entering school in diapers is higher than ever. What changed? A mix of things. More parents working and spending less time at home, a cultural shift toward convenience, overall lower expectations for kids with the rise of certain parenting styles… and, most importantly, the rise of a multi-billion dollar industry.💸 It was this industry that pushed the idea of “potty training readiness” in the 60s and 70s , encouraging parents to wait for children to be “ready” instead of guiding the process early. But here’s the key: The idea of “potty training readiness” is not a well researched field and was in fact highly pushed by the diaper industry. Meanwhile, in many parts of the world, earlier potty learning is still the norm ; with no evidence of harm. For most of human history, children didn’t “decide” when they were ready , instead parents gently guided the process, step by step. Today, many parents are simply never shown that this is even an option. Comment “potty” and I’ll send you an earlier reel breaking down exactly how the diaper industry shaped modern potty training 👇 #pottytraining #diaperfree #eliminationcommunication #pottyrefusal

As a mother of four who potty trained all of my children by their first birthday and a holistic coach for parents I’ve seen this again and again. 🌿 𝑪𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒏 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 when we give them the opportunity to feel. When I started seeing those same signs in my own child, I trusted it. I believed he could. So at home, we gave him underwear. Yes, he peed his pants sometimes. And that step is necessary. 💧 Feeling wet teaches the nervous system “this is my body.” This is something I now recommend to every parent I coach. Because this is not how it’s taught. We’re taught to keep them in diapers for years and then suddenly remove them and run a three day potty training marathon. Now he’s 20 months old, ✨ 𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒑𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒚 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒅 ✨ and we can actually have a conversation about it. 🤍 If you’re feeling behind, you’re not. 🤍 If your toddler is resisting, there is another way. 🤍 This is possible for your child too. This is 𝑷𝒓𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒍 𝑷𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒚 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈™ 𝑩𝒐𝒅𝒚 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍. 👇 Comment 𝑷𝑶𝑻𝑻𝒀 below and I’ll send you the guide #pottytraining #pottylearning #earlypottytraining #eliminationcommunication #ditchdiapers #diaperfree #toddlermom #babymilestones #gentleparenting #consciousparenting #naturalparenting #attachmentparenting #nervoussystemparenting #bodyliteracy #interoception #primalchild #primalpottytraining #holisticparenting #ancestralparenting #montessorimom #waldorfinspired #earlychildhooddevelopment #toddlerdevelopment #parentcoach #momcoach #firsttimeparents #momsofinstagram #babyeducation #parentingtips
