Sperm sorting devices improve IVF outcomes by selecting healthier, high-quality sperm while minimizing damage. Key benefits include: • Reduce DNA fragmentation ✅ • Selection of progressively motile sperms ✅ • Gentler non centrifuge method✅ • Better embryo development✅ The above video is a demonstration of the Lenshooke CA0 centrifugation-free sperm separation device designed to isolate high-quality, motile sperm for assisted reproductive technology (ART) procedures, including intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). By utilizing an improved “swim-up” method in a controlled microenvironment, the device effectively separates spermatozoa based on their natural motility, which helps reduce debris from seminal plasma and promotes the selection of sperm with improved DNA integrity and morphology. We hope you found this interesting and beneficial #ivf #sperm #malefactorinfertility #embryology #viralreel

From Cell to Heartbeat ❤️ Life begins from a single cell that starts dividing and growing into something incredible 🧬 As days pass, this tiny group of cells forms organs, tissues, and systems that build the human body ✨ One of the most amazing moments is when the heart begins to beat, marking the start of life’s rhythm 💓 This journey from one cell to a beating heart shows how powerful and complex the human body truly is 🌱 Understanding it helps us appreciate the miracle of life even more 💫 Did you know the heart starts beating so early in development? 🤔 . . . . . #humanbody #embryology #lifescience #healthknowledge #sciencefacts

I recently had a patient with an elongated egg collected, and she asks if the shape of the egg will be an issue. In her case, the egg unfortunately didn’t fertilize, but it reminded me of this beautiful oval blastocyst that we froze a couple of months ago. Even embryos come in all shapes and sizes! 🐣 It’s important to remember even abnormally shaped eggs has a chance and all IVF labs should always attempt to fertilize and grow these embryos, rather than discarding them. #science #ivf #embryology #reproduction #timelapse

Identical twins begin with one fertilized egg… but scientists still don’t fully understand why that egg suddenly splits into two 🧬👶👶 It’s one of biology’s most fascinating mysteries. Two humans with nearly identical DNA, growing together from the very beginning, yet still developing their own personalities, emotions, and identities ✨ The science behind twins is incredible — and there’s still so much left to discover. This was one of the greatest stories I’ll get to tell in my career. This egg was retrieved, but it didn’t have its outer shell (zona pellucida). For reference, most eggs have this outer shell to protect them and prevent more than one sperm from entering them. But since we performed ICSI, we know only one sperm would enter the egg. So we injected a sperm and hoped for the best. The next morning (day 1), the egg showed normal signs of fertilization. This means it had 2 pronuclei (one from the egg and one from the sperm) and a polar body. Of note, most fertilized eggs have 2 polar bodies, but we believe this egg lost its first polar body when it was expelled from its shell. No biggie, though, because the polar bodies eventually dissolve anyway. On day 2, the embryo consisted of 4 perfect cells (2-6 is considered normal, depending on what time of day you check them). On day 3, it consisted of 8 perfect cells (6-12ish is considered normal). On day 4, the cells began compacting into a morula. On day 5, the embryo entered the blastocyst stage of development. We gave it one more day to develop, and it’s a good thing we did! On day 6, the embryo was a beautiful, expanded (fully hatched) blastocyst that we were able to biopsy and freeze. I love my job. #ivf #embryology #embryo #egg #explainingivf

“A single microscopic step… carrying the weight of a family’s biggest dream. ✨🧬 Embryo biopsy is one of the most advanced procedures in IVF, where a few cells are carefully taken from the embryo to help identify genetic health before transfer. Every movement inside the lab demands precision, patience, experience, and extreme care — because behind every embryo is a couple waiting for hope. 💛 This process helps doctors and embryologists select embryos with better implantation potential and reduce the chances of certain genetic conditions. From fertilization to blastocyst formation, from biopsy to freezing — every stage is monitored with dedication and responsibility. People often see only the final pregnancy announcement… But inside the IVF lab, there are thousands of silent moments filled with science, emotions, sleepless monitoring, and endless hope. 🥼🔬 To many, it’s just a cell under a microscope. To us, it’s a future heartbeat. ❤️ Respect the science. Trust the process. And never lose hope on your parenthood journey. 🌱 #EmbryoBiopsy #IVFJourney #Embryology #IVFLab #storyofmanoj

From birth to adulthood, the human skull undergoes a remarkable transformation. At birth, cranial bones are connected by flexible fibrous sutures and fontanelles, allowing expansion of the skull during rapid brain growth and safe passage through childbirth. Early closure of the sphenoidal, mastoid, and posterior fontanelles occurs within the first months of life, while the anterior fontanelle remains open up to nearly two years, ensuring continued adaptability during development. As ossification progresses, these soft membranous gaps gradually convert into strong immovable sutures. The major sutures sagittal, coronal, lambdoid, and squamous firmly unite the cranial bones, providing structural stability and maximum protection for the developing brain. The skull beautifully demonstrates the balance between flexibility in infancy and rigidity in adulthood, ensuring growth, protection, and support for vital neurological functions throughout life. . . . . . . #SkullDevelopment #Fontanelle #Sutures #CranialBones #Anatomy #HumanAnatomy #Neuroanatomy #Embryology #Ossification #MedicalEducation #MBBS #MedStudent #AnatomyNotes #GrossAnatomy #Cranium #BrainProtection #Foramen #USMLE #UKMLE #NEETPG #MedicalScience . . . . . . . Candling Chicken Eggs! 🥚🐣🔦 Let’s try this again! My last candling video cut off in the middle so I’m reposting - sorry about that! As you’ll see, an egg with NO chick embryo inside (like egg 1) will almost seem transparent and empty. It will glow orange from the light but won’t have any dark spots inside. On the other hand, you’ll know a chick is growing inside when you see blood vessels, little black spots (hearts and eyes) and/or a larger dark spot that is sometimes moving. @mecklenburg_4h @coopsblooms @austinkiddfarm #embryology #chicken #lifecycles #hatching #babychicks #lifescience #scienceteacher #nowyouknow #eggcandling #science #education

Follow🎖️From shell to system — controlled embryogenesis in action. 🧬🐣 What you’re seeing is not just an egg being opened — it’s a carefully orchestrated in ovo manipulation protocol used to study early developmental biology. Process overview: • Candling & staging to identify viable embryos and developmental phase (Hamburger–Hamilton stages) • Aseptic shell windowing to access the embryo without compromising viability • Microinjection of specific agents (growth factors / tracers / gene modulators) into targeted regions (yolk sac / blastoderm / vasculature) • Sealing & incubation under controlled temperature (~37.5°C) and humidity • Real-time observation of angiogenesis, tissue differentiation, and morphogenesis This model allows us to investigate: → Cellular differentiation pathways → Vascular development (angiogenesis assays) → Gene expression dynamics in vivo → Drug/compound effects on embryonic systems Why chick embryos? They are a powerful translational model — accessible, cost-effective, and remarkably similar in early vertebrate developmental pathways. This isn’t just biology — it’s precision intervention in life’s earliest blueprint. ⚠️ Strict sterile conditions, ethical considerations, and protocol standardization are essential for reproducibility. Comment “EMBRYO” if you want the detailed step-by-step protocol or lab SOP. #DevelopmentalBiology #Embryology #ChickEmbryo #InOvo #thatcoolprofessor
