The key was not compressing five days into four through overtime, but restructuring workflows so the same volume of tasks could be completed more efficiently within fewer hours. The focus shifted from time spent at work to measurable results. β‘‘ Companies analyzed where time was being lost: long meetings without clear objectives, repeated approvals, unnecessary internal communication. Meetings were shortened, priorities clarified, and responsibilities streamlined. Workdays became more focused and structured, eliminating wasted time rather than increasing pressure. β‘’ In some pilot cases, productivity increased while sick leave decreased. Employees reported lower levels of burnout and higher motivation. The additional day off became a powerful retention tool, reducing turnover and saving companies recruitment and training costs. β‘£ The psychological impact was also significant. Knowing that three days of rest were ahead changed how people approached their responsibilities. Procrastination decreased, and concentration improved. Work felt more defined and manageable rather than endless and exhausting. β‘€ This model is not suitable for every industry, but the experiments showed that fewer working days do not automatically mean lower performance.
