✨If you are an HCP, you will not want to miss this IG Live with Jessica Coll, RD, Founder of the International Starting Solids Network of Health Professionals and @healthlyinstitute Jessica was one of the first dietitians in her Canadian province to teach Baby-Led Weaning workshops back a decade ago. Full-term vs Premature baby — what’s the difference? 👶 Here’s an easy memory trick: 🔹 < 37 weeks = Premature 🔹 37–38+6 weeks = Early term 🔹 39–40+6 weeks = Full term 🔹 41 weeks = Late term 🔹 ≥ 42 weeks = Post term Babies born too early may need extra care because organs like lungs and brain are still developing. That’s why good pregnancy care and regular checkups matter. ✨ Every extra week in the womb helps baby grow stronger. 💬 Save this for later & share with expecting parents. 👇 Comment your questions below. #pregnancytips #prematurebaby #fulltermbaby #pregnancycare #expectingparents babydevelopment prenatalcare newparents pregnancyeducation momlife doctorreels parentingtips babycare reelsindia

Did you know that you can start teaching your baby sign language as early as 6 months and that most babies will typically use their first sign between 6-9 months? I have a whole section in my new book about mealtime-related signs that you can teach your baby to help make starting solids easier. Comment #sign and I’ll DM you a link! As a pediatric dietitian (and mom of 3) I love baby sign language in the context of mealtimes, because it can help: ➕️ Increase communication between baby and caregiver ➕️ Support responsive feeding (recognizing baby’s cues for hunger and fullness and responding to them right away) ➕️ Reduce everybody’s frustration when baby needs or wants something food-related that they cannot yet use words to communicate Thank you to the beautiful mom of this precious 8-month-old for allowing me to share her video! I wish I would have known about this when my girls were babies. Have you tried baby sign language with your bub? Please share how it went! 👇️ #expectingparents #startingsolids #foodintroduction #firsttimemama #allergybaby #babyledfeeding #breastfeedingtips #formulafeeding #exclusivelypumping #ivfmama #adoptionislove #fosterbaby #expectingmom #newmama #firsttimemom #babyledweaningideas #breastfeedingmom #blw #breastfeeding #whatifeedmybaby #blwideas #babyfood #healthymomhealthykids

Follow @drjoelgator - Having a baby is like a group project in school. One person does ALL the work but the whole group gets credit. It’s a wild ride filled with sleepless nights, endless diaper changes, and a whole lot of love. Parenthood is the ultimate team effort, even if it feels like one person is doing most of the heavy lifting. But also, let’s be real, moms deserve so much credit. Partners are so important for our support but let’s acknowledge all that moms go through during a pregnancy. Hang in there, parents—you’re doing an amazing job! 😂👶 #ParentingTruths #NewParents #BabyLife #ParentingHumor #PregnancyJourney #ParenthoodUnplugged #LifeWithKids #HospitalLife #MomLife #DadLife #ParentingStruggles #RealParenting #ParentingCommunity #FamilyLife #ParentingTips #NewMom #NewDad #BirthStory #LaborAndDelivery #ParentingJourney #MomHumor #DadHumor #ModernParenting #ParentingRealities #ExpectingParents #TeamWork #ParentingWin #Newborn #WelcomeBaby . . . Sharing it down here👇🏼 I ask them: “Have you thought about how you will prepare your relationship?” Look, I know you are inundated with to-do lists when you’re expecting a new baby 🫠 What’s our birth plan? Do we have all the baby supplies? Gotta set up the nursery. Have we thought about breast/chest feeding vs. bottle feeding? Need to start making freezer meals… And, don’t get me wrong, all these things are important. BUT your relationship is at the core of it all. And these questions are equally as important: How will you support each other to feel grounded and safe during labour and birth? Who will take on the load and responsibility of feeding the baby, middle of the night wakings, diaper changes, and other household tasks after baby is here? How will you manage stress, sleep deprivation and decreased time for yourselves? What is one way you can stay connected each day with a newborn? And this isn’t just my personal opinion. Research shows that the health of your relationship will impact your experience of parenthood. If you’re wanting to take the first step in preparing your relationship for a new baby, comment “CONVOS” and I’ll send you my free guide: Conversations to Babyproof Your Relationship 🥰👶🏼 #expectingparents #2026babies #expectingmoms #TTCparents #relationshipexpert
