Today I took Vivi to the vet because she was not feeling well and unfortunately the vet told us that Vivi also has FIP and that surely many, if not most of our cats are infected as well, the vet told me that if all of them were infected I can no longer continue rescuing more cats until this situation is resolved, and for the moment I must try to help those who we already know have the virus. Please help me raise funds to help them, this has me very stressed and very very sad, at this moment the only thing I would like is to dig a hole in the ground and bury myself up and not go out again, but I cannot afford to abandon everything and hide and cry, please don’t criticize, and please help me buy the medicine so I can start the medication for our FIP cats which are many and the expense is enormous. This is what FIP disease is like. For those who do not know FIP disease, let me briefly explain it so that you can feel the pain and pain of these poor souls and help them 🙏 FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) is a disease that causes fluid accumulation in the cat’s abdomen. His belly swells and it becomes difficult to breathe. The accumulation of fluid in the chest area seems to suffocate it. It slowly takes over the body by causing damage to the blood vessels. He stops eating and drinking. And they are trying to prepare themselves for the terrible end. I always tried to prevent this, either by sharing it with you or by making a debt, but we saved the lives of many. We became their hope again. You don’t see this child now. I have neither the money to borrow money nor the money to buy my medicines.
. Buying special food, liver-kidney and supplements is very costly. FIP medicines come from abroad and a bottle costs 50€. SPCat enrichment time is all the time! Thumbelina loves these tiny mice! Hope y’all are having a great day! Thumbelina is 5 years old this month. Rescued in 2020 and named because she was super tiny! She battled FIP in 2021 and endured over 168 days of once daily injections of meds. Since then we don’t injections anymore because of the trauma cats endure and pills work well for our FiP cats. We’ve saved over 10 FiP cats since 2019.

Animal control has been at the house for several days now and are still working on getting all of the cats out. There is believed to be 200+ cats, 50+ dead cats, 18+ disabled cats, and 16+ FIP cats. At least 20 cats had to be humanely euthanized on site. The house has been deemed uninhabitable and the teams inside are working in hazmat gear.
The cats saved from the house have nowhere to go - animal control has zero room and no funding, so the cats we can’t find rescue placements for will be euthanized.
