1️⃣ Call adults by their first names.
No! Just… no. It’s Mummy, Daddy, Aunty, Uncle, Miss, Mrs to you. Respect is mandatory in our household and outside! No debates.✨
2️⃣ Respond with just “Yes”
If we call your name, it’s not “Yes.” It’s Yes, Mummy! Yes, Daddy! Yes, Aunty! Yes, Uncle! Even at school… it’s Yes Miss ( whatever your teachers’ names are) ✨
3️⃣ Interrupt adults mid conversation
You wait. Unless the house is on fire, do not interrupt adults. You have to learn to be Patient.✨
4️⃣ Talk back
Talking back? Absolutely not happening. One thing about our parenting style, we always give room for our children to explain themselves so when it’s our turn to talk, we are not allowing talk backs ✨
5️⃣ Act different outside than at home
What you do in school, church, or any function we attend must reflect the upbringing we’ve instilled in you. You can’t act wild, rude, or disrespectful outside, then come home and expect to get away with it. Not happening! ✨
6️⃣ Show lack of appreciation
You don’t receive and walk away. You say thank you properly.
And still say thank you again the next day. You can’t forget because we will remind you. ✨
7️⃣ Sleep Overs ✨
It’s a No! We’ve had conversations with them since they were younger about the safety aspect of it. We love you, but you’re sleeping in your own house.
