You’d think I had everything planned out perfectly for my first day at my new job – outfit laid out, lunch packed, alarms set. But guess who still almost missed her train? Yep, me. From rushing to get ready to that mini panic when I realized the time, everything felt like a blur. But my husband? He came through like a true MVP – calming me down, getting everything into the car, and practically flying us to the station. I made it with just a minute to spare! so… today was my first day of work in a new department… if you’re new here—hi, i’m kevin. i’m 22, a management trainee in the media industry, and i rotate to different departments every few months. if you’d think marketing’s all pretty visuals and catchy slogans—turns out, it’s more like spreadsheets, audience segments, campaign setups, and strategy (lots of strategy-). i spent the morning trying to launch an ad. spoiler: it took the whole morning. my brain needed a break, so i took a lunch walk, grabbed a lil sweet treat, and ate the packed lunch i made this morning. there were lots of planning, learning, reworking, and internally screaming. but even on chaotic days, i’m learning how to smile through the pain—even if it’s not perfect. i ended the day with some skincare and tried to recover from an allergy flare-up. because taking care of yourself outside work matters just as much. if you’re navigating your 20s, figuring out work, goals, identity, or just want to feel less alone in the chaos—i’m documenting it all. #firstdayatwork #dayinthelife #diml #corporatevlog #workvlog #work #9to5vlog #managementtrainee #lifeinyour20s #workinginmalaysia #malaysianvlogger
