Learning to Cook w/ a First Gen American* Series || #1 - Peanut Butter Stew ✨ When I say I am proud, you don’t even understand 😂🥹 this stew was a staple in my house growing up!! A little background, my name is Awa & I am Malian 🇲🇱. My parents are both from Bamako, Mali. They came to America in the 90s & I blessed the world in 1999 🤭 I’m a 25 year old foodie who loves cooking! I’ve always been fascinated by various cuisines & love how food connects us all! 👉🏾 Ingredients Chicken, cleaned and skin off ( I don’t like soggy skin 😭 ) 3-4 Tbsp olive oil ( palm oil is usually used but i’m trying to live long lol ) 1 ½ medium onion, cubed 1 heaping Tbsp of tomato paste 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard Black pepper 2 Tbsp chicken bouillon ( good enough, Im not too big on salt ) 1 cup Peanut butter 3 ½ cups boiling water, total ➕ Fresh Base Blend Spring onion Garlic, 5-6 cloves 3 roma tomatoes 3 small pepper ( red, yellow, orange ) Thumb of ginger, Fresh parsley ➕ Veggie Prep 3 small peppers 3 carrots 2 sh-medium sweet potatoes ½ Cabbage ( it would make sense to to cut them each in half again but I recommend cutting them this way for cooking so it doesnt fall apart, then cut your desired piece after its done cooking ) 👉🏾 Cooking Steps I lightly seasoned the chicken with salt and black pepper ( to prevent the seasoning from burning when frying ). Using olive oil on medium/ high heat, I fried them brown on all sides then set them aside. Next, on medium heat, I saute the onions until golden. Then, I added in the tomato paste, dijon mustard, and black pepper, cooking until it browns a bit. Then I blend my veggies to create the base, adding that into the pot, along with the chicken bouillon. Next, I add in the peanut butter and 2 cups of boiled water to loosen everything up, along with my chicken. Turning the heat down to medium/low, I covered it and allowed it to simmer for about 30 mins. Finally, I added in another 1.5 cups of water, veggies and another Tbsp of chicken bouillon ( salt to your preferred taste )! Simmer for about another 20-30mins, until the veggies are cooked. Then viola! Serve this with some freshly cooked white rice and enjoy!

This protest was named "GEN-Z protest against corruption". The first day of protest was so heartbreaking, we lost many of our beloved youngsters of the country and the day 8 sep is gonna be remembered as black day in nepal. The second day was the throwback against government and corruption. Even tho we lost our parliament, supreme Court, police station and many other historical monuments we won our protest against corrupt and we are hoping for a new mature government of health development of our country.
