It was supposed to be that way so your body could protect you. The problem is there were so many things you stayed stressed. Now you’re literally paying for it. Tight hips. Sore neck. Pain in your back. This list could go on and on. You can change all of that. It just won’t be immediate. Your fascia, the place where the score is kept, it’s like a very dry sponge. That’s why things are tight. They don’t glide like they should. You have to keep squeezing the sponge to get it wet all the way through. That’s why you hold these positions. That’s why we keep working at it. That’s why we breathe when the emotions come up. If you’ve got somewhere that’s tight and you’d love some suggestions…I’d love to hear from you. Movement made my back pain worse. The advice is always: “Go to yoga.” But no one says: “Find a teacher who truly understands the body, the mind, and how to guide you safely.” So I did what I was told. I went to classes… and it made my pain worse. And that’s the part no one talks about. Because when something that’s supposed to help… doesn’t — it doesn’t just affect you physically. It messes with you psychologically too. I felt like there was no hope. Like my body was the problem and it would always be that way. But it wasn’t. I just hadn’t been taught how to move in a way that was right for my body. Herniated discs. Sciatica. Daily pain that left me feeling trapped. I couldn’t touch my knees let alone my toes. Until I realised that Movement will feel like a curse, dressed up as a cure unless you are taught to listen to your body by someone who knows how it works inside and out. Everything changed when I found the right guidance. When movement became supportive… not something to fear. When I built strength with my body, not against it. Now? No pain. Stronger than ever. And complete trust in my body. This is why I teach the way I do at HHW 🤍 Safe. Supportive. Personal. Because it’s not about sending people to a class and hoping for the best… It’s about guiding them properly.
