The Southwest Companion Pass allows you to add a companion to any Southwest ticket, and all you’ll need to do is pay the taxes & fees. And yes…this works on both paid AND award tickets bought on points, so technically in that case both people would be flying for free!! You can add your companion as long as a seat is available.
Here is the easiest way to earn the Southwest Companion Pass:
✈️ Earn 135,000 qualifying points in a calendar year
The trick? Credit card welcome bonuses count! 💯 And currently there is a massive offer to help you get there!
-You cannot have two of these personal airline cards at one time. You can have one personal and one business card OR two business cards at once.
-Keep in mind the 5/24 rule and that you can only earn bonuses on these cards every 24 months.
-the key is to hit the minimum spends in 2026 so you can have the pass for the rest of that year and all of 2027 too!
