Here’s what I wish I understood sooner 👇 🧠 Constant anxiety for “no reason” Your nervous system stays switched on because your body thinks food is scarce = danger. 💔 Chest tightness & breathlessness Not your heart failing - your system stuck in fight-or-flight trying to conserve energy. 😴 Wired but exhausted You’re tired all day but can’t switch off at night because stress hormones are high. 🍽️ Food becomes stressful Hunger cues get distorted, digestion slows, and eating starts to feel overwhelming. 🏋️ Training feels heavier every week Recovery drops, strength fades, and your body stops adapting - even if you’re “doing everything right”. ❄️ Cold hands, feet, low energy Your body prioritises survival over performance. Non-essential systems get dialled down. ⚠️ You don’t feel like yourself anymore Less motivation. Less joy. Less connection. That’s not weakness - that’s your body protecting you. None of this means you’re broken. It means your body is asking for safety again.
