Camber Racing from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur in Tamil Nadu has won Formula Bharat 2026. Formula Bharat spawned some of India's top deeptech startups including Ather Energy, Exponent Energy, Baaz Bikes, Blinq Mobility, and Coratia Technologies. The event is 6 days long and the testing process is very stringent. There are two types of tests: static tests, and dynamic tests. Teams can't compete in the dynamic tests unless they clear all of the static tests. These tests include the tilt test, the rain test, the noise test, and the brake test where all wheels need to lock up at the same time. Teams are also scored on the design of their car and how much it cost. This year, at Formula Bharat 2026, there were 53 teams. Many of those teams did not pass the static tests and didn't get a chance to drive their cars on the raceway. Dynamic tests include the skidpad test, the acceleration test, the autocross test, and the endurance test. This year only 12 teams out of 53 made it to the endurance test, and only 3 teams passed it. These teams were Bullz Racing from BMS College in Bengaluru, TAS Ikshvaku Racing from NIE Mysore, and Camber Racing from SRM Institute of Science and Technology.
