THWe all need comfort through hard times. For an orphaned kitten like Pringle, sometimes that looks like a stuffy mama cat to cuddle. This isn’t a necessity for neonatal kitten care (and some kittens don’t seem to care about them at all), but I’ve seen many kittens respond to their mama stuffy just like they would their real mom—always lying next to, on, or under it; suckling it; and using it as their first attack (play) target.
Sweet Pringle first lost his mom, before he even opened his eyes, and now he’s had to be separated from his brother, Paddy. (Paddy has been seriously ill and needs a smaller space to rest so he conserves his energy to fight. 🩶) And so I think having this heartbeat kitty to snuggle up with is more than just a kitten care item—it’s a meaningful improvement to Pringle’s quality of life. 💛
