Day 14/108. Ten days ago, I accepted a simple LinkedIn challenge show up consistently, be honest about my work, and stop overthinking. Today, I have: – one freelance client – conversations with real founders – shortlisted by three startups No hacks. No shortcuts. Just consistency, clarity, and showing up even when it felt uncomfortable. Proof that small, intentional actions compound faster than we think. Still a long way to go but this is progress, and I’m documenting it all. . . . . Why Investor Abhishek Middha gave 3X to the founder. It’s surprising! Most founders struggle to convince investors to put money in. But here’s the twist… The founder asked for a certain amount — and the investor decided to give three times more. What did he see in that pitch that made him increase the cheque himself? Paul Allen and Bill Gates first met at Seattle’s Lakeside School in the late 1960s, bonded by an early obsession with computers. Together, they built a version of BASIC for the Altair 8800, a breakthrough that led to the founding of Microsoft. Allen later said he was the one who suggested the company’s name. What appeared to be an equal partnership slowly shifted as Microsoft grew. Gates took on increasing control, driven by intense competitiveness and constant pressure to win. Allen, by contrast, focused on logic, structure, and methodical problem-solving. In the 1980s, Allen was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma and stepped back from daily operations. During that time, he discovered that Gates and Steve Ballmer had discussed diluting his ownership. The revelation led to a direct confrontation, followed by an apology from Gates. Allen moved on to build an extraordinary second chapter. He became a billionaire investor, founded Vulcan Inc., and owned the Seattle Seahawks and Portland Trail Blazers. He passed away in 2018 at age 65. Gates later shifted his focus to global philanthropy through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. It’s a reminder that founding stories aren’t just about ideas. They’re about power, timing, and how ambition reshapes relationships. Not because ADHD magically makes you successful. But because when it’s understood and controlled, it becomes leverage. High creativity. Pattern recognition. Big-picture thinking. Relentless drive when pointed in the right direction. ADHD only becomes a liability when your business is built for someone else’s brain. Build systems around how you think. Reduce complexity. Control your attention. That’s how ADHD turns from chaos into a competitive advantage. If you’re a business owner with ADHD and you’re tired of fighting your brain, this is your sign. On Shark Tank, the Plufl founders pitched what they called a “dog bed for humans,” a product so strange that several Sharks questioned whether anyone would actually buy it. Emma Grede and Kevin O’Leary doubted the market, but the mood changed when Robert Herjavec jumped into the bed and refused to get out. What started as skepticism quickly turned into interest once they realized the comfort itself was the product. Kevin O’Leary offered $200,000 for 30%, but the founders waited for a better fit. Mark Cuban and Lori Greiner teamed up and offered $200,000 for 20%, betting that the bed’s viral appeal and extreme comfort could turn a weird idea into a real business. Not everyone can afford to take the risk A sister’s wedding pending. No house of your own. An education loan running. Debt on your father’s head. In this situation, people don’t romanticize startups. They look for stability. A high-paying job. A safe path. The truth is many founders don’t start because they’re fearless. They start after years of saving, waiting, and responsibility. Privilege isn’t just money. Sometimes, it’s the freedom to fail. . . . #sharktankindia #founderreality #middleclassstories #startupjourney #indianentrepreneur [shark tank india, founder reality, middle class stories, startup journey, risk and reward, indian entrepreneur, real stories, career decisions, family responsibility, dream vs reality, indian startups, hustle with purpose, life choices, business reels, reels india]

Most people don’t fail in business because they’re not smart. They fail because they start with the appearance of success instead of the work that creates it. Office. Furniture. Staff. All before the first dollar comes in. That’s an employee mindset trying to play entrepreneur. Real founders start with revenue, not overhead. Make the money first. Then earn the upgrades. Build the business… Don’t cosplay it.

These founders weren’t here for validation. Highly qualified team. One of them has already exited a startup for $50 million. So why come on Shark Tank? Not for money. For distribution, credibility, and speed. Sometimes the smartest founders use Shark Tank as a growth lever, not a funding round. The pitch isn’t always the product. Sometimes, the platform is. In this intense pitch moment from Shark Tank India, the judges were visibly shocked after hearing the salary structure of the founders of Nasher Miles. The conversation quickly shifted from growth and product to capital efficiency, founder intent, and financial discipline — highlighting one of the most important but least discussed topics in early-stage startups: how much founders should pay themselves. This clip shows the reality of startup building, where every rupee matters and investor trust depends heavily on how responsibly founders handle company money. It also reflects how sharks evaluate not just the business idea, but the mindset, priorities, and long-term vision of the founders. A strong reminder for early entrepreneurs that optics, timing, and financial maturity play a huge role in fundraising and credibility. Watch till the end to see how quickly a deal can change based on one financial decision. #sharktankindia #startupindia #startupai #amangupta #anupammittal
