Last year we almost didn’t take the trip. This year we almost skipped date night. Because life is busy. Kids. Puppy. Schedules. Money. There’s always a reason to wait. But here’s what I’ve learned... Another year will pass either way. Next summer will come. Another vacation season will come. Another opportunity will come. The only question is - Will you still be saying “maybe next year”? I didn’t start building income online because I wanted luxury. I started because I wanted options. And options look like this: • Babysitter on vacation • Dinner without rushing • Not stressing the check If you’ve been quietly watching and thinking about starting... DM me “VACATION.” Let’s make next year different.

First, I’m not pretending money doesn’t matter. Fun is better when you’re not silently doing math in your head. Here’s what that actually looks like: ✔️ Planning simple things in advance (so we’re not impulse spending out of boredom) ✔️ Saying no to what doesn’t fit the budget — without guilt ✔️ Making sure extra income is coming in, not just going out Because here’s the truth: Budgeting helps. But breathing room helps more. Spring break shouldn’t feel like a financial hangover waiting to happen. That’s why I focus on building income streams that don’t require me to work more hours — just smarter systems. If you’re tired of every holiday feeling a little stressful behind the scenes… 💬 Comment READY and I’ll share what I’m using to create more flexibility this year. And follow @buildwealthwithpaisley if you want realistic ways to make money online that actually fit mom life.

Watching your friends and their kids take multiple trips a year, wondering what you’re doing wrong and why you can’t afford it? Spoiler: it’s not your income. And it’s not because you’re bad with money. Here’s the trick: We aren’t paying cash for flights and hotels 😉 We’re using points we earn from everyday spending- groceries, gas, bills we already have- to cover the our travel costs. We put all of those purchases on new credit cards (and pay them off each month!), then earn the big welcome offers. Then we turn around and use those points to book trips. When flights and hotels aren’t coming out of your bank account, travel stops feeling like a luxury and starts feeling totally doable! Nothing about our life is fancy. We aren’t rich. We just learned how to use points instead of cash, and that’s what lets us travel more without spending more. I promise, you can do it, too! ✨ Drop a “MAGIC” in the comments and I’ll DM you with more info about how we make our trips happen!

Currently daydreaming about vacation and warm weather ☀️ Years ago, I sat down with someone that convinced me I needed a timeshare to make vacations “make sense.” I signed up, sat with it, and realized… this isn’t freedom- it’s a commitment I didn’t actually want! I canceled in the free cancellation time and decided to redirect that same money into a vacation fund instead. Now we can go anywhere, anytime, without being boxed in to specific locations!! That decision taught me a big lesson: saving with intention beats signing contracts every time.🏖️

🤓 Both options get you on vacation…but option 2 also gives you free date nights! Think about your hourly wage? Now multiply it by 3? That’s how much you’re charging yourself to do that vacation planning after work! Take that amount and dump it back into your date night fund while I go do the planning for you!

Here’s how ⤵️ I leveraged our normal expenses to easily generate a lot of points that paid for our vacation! If you live in the U.S, spend $1,700+ per month on bills and have a 700+ credit score, there is no reason you should be paying $5,000+ to travel with your family to Hawaii, Florida, Caribbean, or Mexico. How do I know? Because I’ve done it myself over 15 times! $5,800 vacation in Hawaii for $11 per person, $11,000 vacation in the Dominican Republic for $150 per person and $10,000 in Cancun for $161 per person for my family of 5. If you leverage your expenses the right way, you can do the same! Minimal work required. Comment “PLAYBOOK” if you want me to show you how to do it!

Paying cash for a vacation can be hard. When you’re used to just putting it on a credit card, it can be a hard mindset shift to switch to paying cash. But you can do it! Here’s how we are doing it, plus a few more ways you could try. We will earn around $1,085 from interest on our savings accounts from now through July. We will move all of that in to our vacation fund. We have already saved $665 through January and February because we knew we were going to go on some sort of vacation this year. We will save $200 per month from our paychecks and put in our vacation fund. That will give us $2,750 to work with on our trip. But what if you don’t have interest coming in or enough space in your budget to put $200 a month into a fund? 1. Lower another category in your budget to reallocate to vacation. This can be temporary but can free up some money. 2. Move your savings to a HYSA so you actually make interest (we make 3.3% currently) 3. Look around your house and see what junk you can sell on marketplace. 4. Pick up a side hustle temporarily (like DoorDash or Instacart) 5. Lower your savings goal for vacation. You may need to adjust your expectations. Maybe you can’t fly across the country on a trip. Maybe you can’t eat out every meal on your vacation. Maybe you need to only do 1-2 activities instead of several each day. The reality is, for some people, you may need to lower the amount you’re going to spend in order to avoid credit cards. That might sting a little, but it’s better than paying hundreds in interest after the fact! If you’re going on a trip this year, drop in the comments where you’re going!
