It’s not about winning. It’s not about being the best. It’s about what she believes is possible. The women she sees... The standards she’s exposed to.. The level she thinks is “normal”. So let her see women like @keely.hodgkinson @lj10 @lionesses Not for pressure. Not for perfection. But so she grows up knowing... She can be strong, capable, and limitless in her own way. #StrongGirls #RaiseStrongGirls #FutureIsFemale #GirlPower #EmpoweredGirls #WatchHerRise #SheLeads #GirlsInSport #WomenInSport #ShePlays #SheRuns #LikeAGirl #GirlsWhoPlay #WomenWhoPlay

Some interesting facts as to why sport for young girls is so much more than winning or getting to the Olympics 🌟 **Empowering young women Through Sports** 🌟 As a parent of a daughter involved in competitive sports, it’s essential to recognize the reality: while the chances of making it to the Olympics are statistically low, the benefits of engaging in sports from a young age are profound and life-changing. Benefits of Youth Sports Participation 1. **Leadership Skills**: - Girls involved in sports are 6 times more likely to hold leadership positions later in life. - **Statistic**: 78% of female leaders attribute their leadership skills to early sports participation. 2. **Health Benefits**: - Regular physical activity reduces the risk of chronic diseases by 50%. - Engaging in sports can lower the risk of obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. 3. **Mental Health Improvements**: - Participation in sports reduces the likelihood of depression and anxiety by 30% in young girls. - **Statistic**: Girls who play sports report higher levels of self-esteem and confidence. 4. **Resilience and Confidence**: - Sports teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, and goal-setting. - Over 70% of young girls who play sports feel more confident in their abilities. A Reminder It’s not just about winning races or achieving medals; it’s about the journey of self-improvement. Every practice, every challenge faced, and every moment of resilience builds character. 💪 **This is why I encourage all girls to participate in any sport—team or individual.** It’s about developing strength, both physically and mentally, and becoming the best version of themselves. @englandathletics Every step taken in sports lays a strong foundation for life. Remember, the skills learned on the field or court often translate to success in the workplace and in personal relationships. #womeninsport #femalesports #girlswhorun #women #female

Stop doing random exercises that leave you tired but don’t support your sport performance. A strong session for a young athlete usually looks like this: Start with mobility. Open up your hips, ankles, and shoulders so you can move properly and lift safely. If you are adding speed work, do it next. Quick feet, sprints, or explosive drills should happen early while your body is fresh. Speed needs quality and intent, not fatigue. Then move into your heavy compound lifts. Squats, deadlifts, presses, rows. This is where real strength is built and where athletes create the foundation for performance. After that comes accessory work. Single leg strength, core, stability, and smaller muscle groups that support your sport and help reduce injury risk. And through all of it, one thing matters most: progressive overload. As a young athlete, you need to gradually challenge your body over time. A little more weight. A few more reps. Better control. Cleaner form. That is how strength actually develops. Not from random workouts, but from structured training repeated consistently. Move well. Lift with intention. Get stronger week by week. SAVE for your next workout. SEND to your workout partner. Almost every female CEO has one thing in common. Sport. Sports teaches girls to make decisions under pressure. To fail in front of people and come back anyway. To trust their bodies in a world that spent years telling them not to. To lead before anyone gave them permission to. And that changes everything about who they become. ➡️ 94% of women in C-suite positions identify as former athletes. The girl who learns to trust her body under pressure becomes the woman who trusts her judgment in a room full of people telling her not to. ➡️ Research on adolescent girls in sport consistently finds that athletic participation is one of the strongest predictors of self-confidence, body image and leadership capability in adulthood, independent of skill level or competitive success. ➡️ Studies on gender and risk show that girls who play sport are significantly more comfortable with failure and uncertainty than those who don’t, because sport is one of the few places a girl is taught that getting it wrong is part of getting it right. It’s not about being the best. It’s about the culture. The camaraderie. The confidence of having to make a decision under pressure, live with it, and move on. Put your daughter into sports. Not to make her an athlete. But to make her someone who knows what she is capable of. Comment LEAD and I’ll send you the link to the research-backed guide packed with practical tools, the science of parenthood, and real-life scripts for raising girls who know their own strength. 🎥 Video: Moments That Make Us Speaker: Billie Jean King

Nike launched its "Believe in More" campaign in Russia in 2017, timed to International Women's Day and designed to challenge deeply entrenched gender stereotypes around women in sport. The centerpiece film, "What Are Girls Made Of?," reimagined a beloved Soviet-era children's song by replacing its traditional lyrics about flowers and gossip with declarations of strength, bravery, and self-determination. The spot featured prominent Russian female athletes including Olympic figure skating gold medalist Adelina Sotnikova and MMA fighter Anastasia Yankova. Created by Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam and directed by David Wilson through Riff Raff Films, the campaign was part of Nike Women's broader global initiative and won Gold at the 2017 Cannes Lions. Cast (Young Girl): Arina Rumyantseva Featured Athletes: Adelina Sotnikova (Figure Skater/Olympic Gold Medalist), Anastasia Yankova (MMA Fighter), Olga Kuraeva (Ballet Dancer), Katya Shengelia (Skateboarder), Kristina Sivkova (Track and Field Sprinter), Anastasiya Kotelnikova (Nike+ Training Club Coach), Ksenia Lazareva (Footballer) Featured Actress: Irina Gorbacheva Ad Agency: Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam Executive Creative Directors: Mark Bernath, Eric Quennoy Creative Directors: Al Merry, Craig T Williams Brand: Nike Women Director: David Wilson DOP: Benoit Soler Production Company: Riff Raff Films Sound Design: Alex Nicholls-Lee at Wave Studios Music: Reworked by MassiveMusic, based on the original composition "Iz Chego Zhe Sdelany Nashi Mal'chishki" by Yakov Khaletsky and Yuriy Chichkov Country: Russia Occasion: International Women's Day (March 8) Year: 2017 . . . . .
