Then when spend goes up, performance drops. Not because Google Ads “stopped working”. Because the account was never built to find enough net new demand in the first place. If you want more incremental sales, you need to force the system to explore further: exclude brand properly separate campaigns with a clear job keep feeding clean conversion data stay aggressive with negatives and search term control where possible A lot of brands never do this. They just spend more inside the same small pool.
