Strong >> skinny before I started my fitness journey I had zero energy, was cold all the time, couldn’t focus, struggled to sleep, felt burnt out & overwhelmed easily… …but fast forward to now, I sleep well, have consistent energy, much more productive and am the strongest I’ve ever been!! Highly requested workout split that helped me with fat loss and body recomposition 🫶🏻 Day 1: Back & Biceps Day 2: Glutes & Hamstrings Day 3: Chest, Shoulders & Triceps Day 4: Glutes & Quads Day 5: Cardio & Core Day 6: Rest Day7: Rest/ active rest For most lifts, I stick to 3 sets of 8-12 reps. I do cardio after pretty much every workout and that’s either the treadmill or stair master. I focus on controlled reps, proper form, and progressively increasing weight over time. Higher reps / more weight does NOT equal glute growth!! Lemme explain:👇🏼 Muscle growth is stimulated through something called ‘Mechanical Tension’ - which is the FORCE on muscles during resistance training. More force → more tension → stronger growth signal → bigger muscles 🍑 💪 Going too heavy, resulting in sloppy form, reduces this tension. This is why when I was hip thrusting 200kg, my glute growth was NOWHERE NEAR as much as it is now (my form was terrible and I was not properly engaging my glutes) 🥲 Lower weight + controlled reps can be better because: • Better form → tension stays on the muscle (not joints/ego) • Full range of motion → more fibres working • Slower tempo → longer time under tension • Closer to true failure → stronger growth signal Yes, lifting heavier overtime (progressive overload) is a way to increase mechanical tension, HOWEVER … Heavy ONLY works if the muscle is actually doing the work!!! 🤌🤌🤌 Doing 6-8 reps in GREAT form, will ALWAYS be better than 8-10 reps of meh.
