POV: you’re a short girl trying the hack squat no one talks about… 🥹 If you’ve ever felt like the hack squat machine cuts your range of motion short (like you hit the bottom too fast), this is what helped me. I tried a simple setup tweak and suddenly I could get a deeper range of motion hack squat without feeling limited by the machine. The “short girl” hack squat tweak I’m doing: I grab a foam roller / rolled-up mat / yoga block and place it between my shoulders and the machine pads (like a little cushion spacer). For me, it helped me sit into a deeper position and get more knee bend… and I finally felt my quads working way more. Quick notes (what I focus on): 🔴 I keep it lightly placed (not jammed in) 🔴 I move slow and controlled 🔴 If anything feels pinchy or weird, I stop and adjust (not a coach, just sharing what worked for me 🫶🏽) Oh yes, you might look a little funny at first... but remember ✨everyone starts somewhere✨ If you’re new here, welcome 🤍 I’m not here to tell you what to do. Make every rep perfect. You’re not using a full range of motion → Half reps just to move more weight won’t build your legs. You’re too focused on external load and lifting heavier, not training the target muscle. → Drop the ego, load the quads, and control the movement. Fix this and watch your legs actually grow. This one sparks a little controversy BUT I personally don’t agree with using Massive Bands on the Hack Squat… just in order to squat more weight! The only time you need to use a band is when you can’t squat the machine without any weight! Why? Because in order to work your muscles you want a deep stretch with all of the force (the weight) at the deepest stretch (the bottom part of the movement in a hack squat). So what the band does is eliminate the weight at the most stretched part - therefore making it easier for you and reducing the force for the muscles! My advice, stop using the band, go lighter and build up your strength!!! Stop ego Lifting 🤝🏼 #strengthtrainingforwomen #weighttrainingforwomen #gymgirl #hacksquat
