In this trend, there is one person dancing awkwardly for the first several seconds while everybody in the back act casual. Within 15 seconds, there is a hard DROP followed by an abrupt cut to everyone going berserk in costumes and masks, and flailing randomly. The absurdity and lack of explanation was the magic. No one asked "why”, you just did the dance. The hype lasted almost 3 months into April 2013, as copycats began saturating feeds.
