❌ Gluten-Free - Cutting gluten unnecessarily? You could be missing out on fibre-rich grains. A Harvard study of nearly 200,000 people found those who ate the most gluten had a 20% lower risk of type 2 diabetes (not because gluten itself is protective, but it’s found in foods that can be, e.g. barley and rye).
❌ Sea moss - It’s been called a superfood for its ‘prebiotics’, but given its carrageen content (which is used to make emulsifiers) and lack of human studies, I’m not convinced. A daily portion of beans is a much better bet for real gut-loving prebiotics.
❌ Daily Probiotics - The science says this approach is a waste of time and money, and could actually do more harm. When it comes to probiotics, it’s all about getting specific - details in the caption.
