In 2025, Blue Marine drove global ocean protection through policy, science and storytelling, securing major conservation wins, empowering communities and advancing progress towards protecting 30 per cent of the ocean by 2030.
We are now supporting conservation in 29 countries alongside over 266 partners, without whom our work would not be possible.

JOI’ve been quiet on social media for a while.
That has been intentional.
The past year has been a turbulent one, partly for personal reasons. I’ve lost people I love. At the same time I’ve been deep inside a process that has taken more out of me than I expected.
Building something that has been growing in the background of my career for a long time.
Fragile Hope Foundation.
Something I hope will still be here long after I’m gone.
Starting a foundation like this has been a rollercoaster. Blood, sweat and tears. Moments of laughter. Hope and frustration. All of it.
But today it’s real.
I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built.
I would never have made it without the amazing people around me who are now part of Fragile Hope. Without them this would never have happened.
Fragile Hope is already growing. More people want to be part of what we’re building and the ambition we share.
