But once I understood what was happening, everything shifted. I stopped fighting against my body and started working with it. - More protein - Smarter, strength-focused workouts - Prioritizing sleep - Cutting back sugar - improving collagen and elastin with the right treatments - SPF, always And yes, hormone support helped, too. They start taking magnesium glycinate… Then they add vitamin D Then a multivitamin Then fish oil Then another ā€œhormone supportā€ blend Then another magnesium product. And suddenly they’re taking 8 foundational supplements that are basically doing the same thing. Here’s the problem. Magnesium glycinate is actually a very interesting supplement because it overlaps two categories. It can be a foundational nutrient if you’re deficient in magnesium. But it also plays a role in hormone health, especially with: Cortisol regulation Sleep quality Stress recovery But that doesn’t mean more is better. You don’t need: Magnesium glycinate Magnesium threonate Magnesium citrate Magnesium blends Plus 6 other foundational supplements Most of your foundational nutrients should come from diet first. Think: Whole foods Protein intake Vegetables Electrolytes Sleep Training Sunlight Supplements are there to fill gaps, not replace the foundation.
