DEit was midnight on Sunday when the nurse decided to send Mamak back home saying that her blood test’s result was good.
Mamak suddenly couldn’t move her body several days ago after her neurologist gave her a new meds for her absent-mindedness.
we’re now not sure if that’s what caused her current paralysis because weeks before that, her brain vitamin Citicoline was stopped.
this seems to me like a repetition if i couldn’t call it as a negligence.
two weeks before i departed to New York, Mamak was just being released from the hospital too after she was admitted to the ER for not getting her dementia meds: both aricept and citicoline - a one sided decision from the doctor.
after getting through a complicated drama and i had to return from Singapore to Jakarta to deal with it and Mamak seemed to be so close to her death, Mamak survived. she got her meds back. and she also was prescribed with new meds prior to that critical situation.
the same pattern.
Ivany and Basa arrived at the ER at 6 or 7 pm on Sunday. it took about 2 hours by car from home to the hospital.
it wasn’t an easy decision too because Mamak couldn’t move her body and My sisters had to take Mamak down from the second floor where bedrooms are located.
”you guys can do that. one step at a time. it’s better to bring Mamak to the ER, keeping her at home with this situation isn’t a choice, you two have no idea what to do,” i tried to support them from the other side of the world: 11 hours difference.
i helped them with what to tell the medical workers at the ER. we came up with the chronology till Mamak couln’t move her body that affects her speaking ability and eating too.
at the ER, the nurses gave Mamak an IV injection and also a citicoline injection - we had to pay the latter, BPJS insurance doesn’t cover it (like really?).
after 6 hours, Ivany and Basa were told to take Mamak home.
it’s midnight. the patient couldn’t move her body.
there was some miscommunication or minsunderstanding too, not the first time, whether or not Mamak hospitalized or discharged.
Ivany and Basa were told to take Mamak to come back again the other day to see her neurologist.
they arrived at home at 2 am.

تسمم الكالسيوم اللحظي: قد يشعر المريض بحرارة شديدة تسري في جسده، طعم معدني في الفم، وغثيان وقيء.
الطريقة الصحيحة:
يجب إعطاء الكالسيوم وريدياً عن طريق التنقيط البطيء (Slow Infusion)، حيث يتم تمديده في محلول ملحي أو سكري ويُعطى على مدار فترة تتراوح من 15 إلى 30 دقيقة أو أكثر، مع مراقبة دقات القلب بجهاز الـ (ECG) إذا استدعت الحالة

CAJust over here crying happy tears at how happy and comfortable Olive is only 10 minutes into being in her foster home. To see her rolling around again like a happy cat is the most beautiful site. She received her first oral dose of prednisolone today after getting her first via IV injection yesterday and I’m relieved to say her fevers have been down and our girl is VERY hungry. We’re taking it day by day but are remain hopeful as I’m sure everyone following her story is. We will of course continue to update you on her progress❤️
