We’re thrilled to announce that our funding with the @fashionimpactfund - a program of @pvblicf Foundation - has been renewed for another year! Thanks to the support of @kerrybannigan and the @fashionimpactfund, our Handloom Program will continue to grow. This year, we’ll welcome a new cohort of women into weaving training while also supporting our first group as they lay the foundations for a self-sustaining handloom economy in our village, independent of Saheli Women if they choose. The impact of this program goes beyond weaving; families are thriving, local businesses are growing, and the value of handloom as a pathway to sustainable development is being recognised by our entire community. This year we will also be delving into creative work that will draw inspiration from traditional weaves to utilise them in our own garments. Reviving handloom is at the heart of our mission to preserve Indian craft and handmade industries. It’s also our answer to building a more sustainable future in fashion and we hope to see more brands turning to this beautiful craft.

2026 is bold, textured and unapologetic, but Indian craft lived it generations ago. Long before colour forecasts and trend decks, Indian artisans were already creating their own palettes. In Indian craft villages, colour comes from materials, not mood boards. These aren’t trends. They’re traditions that never faded. At Zwende, we believe the most future-forward design has always come from Indian craft villages, made slowly, made thoughtfully, and made to last. Because the colour of tomorrow has been handcrafted for generations. 💬 Comment “Indian craft” if this excites you😍

More than a store, Good Earth's Chahar Bagh (@goodearth_chaharbagh) is a unique design destination in Dubai where India’s artisanal legacy meets Middle Eastern sensibilities in an immersive sanctuary. After three decades of reimagining Indian craft through a contemporary lens and giving the nation's skilled artisans sustained incentive to preserve and pursue their skills, Good Earth, India’s leading design house, has landed in Dubai's Al Barsha district with its first international concept, Chahar Bagh. Its name – Persian for ‘four gardens’ – evokes the archetype of paradise that travelled across empires, flourishing in Indian palaces and Persian courts. Find out more at the link in bio. Video courtesy of: @goodearthindia, @goodearth_chaharbagh | Videography: @rohitsabu | Words: @rheeaana

I recently stopped by the Swadesh store at Eros, Churchgate to create my dream Diwali table—and found everything I needed in one place. From Khurja pottery and chikankari linens to a beautiful Pachikari vase that stole the show, every piece brought a touch of Indian craft and story to the setting. ✨

“I’m the fourth generation in a family business celebrating Indian craft. I never thought I’d be the one taking it global. I grew up watching my father and grandfather build something started by my great-grandfather, learning how each incense stick was crafted by hand. Their hands, their skill, their patience – I didn’t realize it then, but I was learning something far bigger than making products. I was learning how to carry forward a legacy. After studying abroad, I saw how little the world knew about the craft we’d grown up with. Stores in the US had 2-3 Indian brands for these products. I wondered – why isn’t the world discovering what we have here? That thought stayed with me, and I knew I had to come back. When I returned, I didn’t jump straight into leading the business or exporting. I spent years in the factory learning every detail, from raw materials to packaging. I visited suppliers, studied scents, and experimented endlessly. Every detail mattered, because if we were going to represent Indian craft to the world, it had to be authentic, high-quality, and heartfelt. Today, over 400 women from rural Karnataka help create our products by hand. For many, it’s their first job – their first step toward independence and confidence. Watching them grow, supporting their families, and shaping a career of their own – that’s the part of this business I’m most proud of. We export to 25+ countries, and in India, we’ve served 70K+ customers through our website. But the most powerful moments aren’t the numbers. It’s when someone says, ‘I used to buy this fragrance in Spain… I can’t believe it comes from India.’ That’s when I know we’re doing more than selling products. We’re telling a story of heritage, skill, and the hands that shape it. Every incense stick, candle, and diffuser is handmade, organic, and rooted in tradition. We’re not just creating scents – we’re creating experiences, memories, and opportunities. For decades, people looked to Europe for fragrances. Now, maybe they’ll look to India. What started from a small room in Bangalore has reached homes across the world – that’s our story. Of craft, of legacy, of empowerment. And we’re just getting started.”

Every winter for the past two years, we’ve brought you a little warmth through small drops celebrating Kashmiri craft. We didn’t want Indian handwork to take a break just because the season changed… That’s how Winter 2.0 came to life. Bigger, warmer, and stitched with even more heart. This year, we found ourselves in Kasmira once again, working with artisans who’ve spent generations perfecting the art of Aari embroidery. This collection is very special. Not just because it’s warmer or richer, but because it carries the same heart as our chikankari. The same love for detail. The same dream to keep Indian craft alive in everyday wear. 🤍 Shop our KASMIRA collection at www.houseofchikankari.in
