It took hard conversations and a few ego checks to realize effort and wealth require completely different skill sets. When nobody teaches you the second part, you naturally end up trusting: • advisors • insurance agents • banks pretty much whoever sounds official enough🫣 Money is the one thing you’ll work your entire life for. You should understand it. Absolutely be involved. And ask better questions: • What are the fees? • 10 year return? • What are we actually paying you? • Show me the numbers side by side. This stuff isn’t complicated. It’s just rarely explained without a sales script. For over 100 years, asset ownership has outperformed the “safe” products banks and insurance companies love to push. Once I took time to learn just the basics and stopped being casual with our money👇🏼 - 3x’d our net worth on the same income. - both our kids now have more in their accounts than over 50% of US adults. All funds raised past the point of our mortgage will go directly in into strengthening the property through land management, animal structures, small repairs, store, mitigation, and estate planning.
