#TSRPositiveImages: Entrepreneur and content creator #IsaiahThomas is documenting an ambitious journey as he walks 3,000 miles from Philadelphia to California to raise funds for a school he hopes will support underserved teens. According to his GoFundMe, Thomas says his mission is deeply personal. He shared that he was forced to drop out of college as a sophomore due to financial constraints. This experience inspired him to create opportunities for young people facing similar barriers.

“I want to create opportunities for teens who are facing the same barriers I once did. That’s why I’m launching HMBL University and the HMBL Summer Camp, a trade-based program designed for high school graduates who may not have the resources or desire to attend college, but still deserve a real shot at success,” he wrote. _________________________
Thomas says the program will focus on equipping students with practical skills and real-world opportunities. Participants would have access to trade certifications such as CNA, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and medical technology. Beyond trade training, the program also plans to teach essential life skills, including financial literacy, budgeting, entrepreneurship, confidence-building, and hands-on skills such as sewing.

The proposed school also aims to broaden students’ perspectives by taking select participants on educational trips to Africa, exposing them to new cultures and opportunities beyond their everyday environments. Thomas is hoping to raise $200,000 to build the first campus.
