This statement skips over the complexities of real life. What if he’s battling severe depression and can’t get out of bed? Healing from heartbreak or betrayal that’s left him emotionally unavailable? Struggling with PTSD and unable to manage the demands of a relationship?
Someone can genuinely care and still be unable to show up because of their own challenges. 💔
These blanket statements can also hurt women, compounding feelings of rejection when, in reality, it’s not about you—it’s about where he is in his journey.
Interest and action don’t always align. Sometimes there’s so much more beneath the surface. 🌊
