the standard of arguments that the teams carried were par what we listen in normal moots. Their research was on tips. They knew every major law, precedent, counters, reason behind every argument, loopholes and what not.
• Judges interrupting in seconds.
i was shocked to see judges interrupting every other second. I felt I would have cried if i were in that situation. But the way the teams and speakers approached was so positive. They answered every question with such elegance, calm and positivity.
• Every word calculated.
EVERY WORD THEY SAID WAS LOOKED ON. One word wrong and the judges caught it and questioned. It made me realise how crucial it is what you say and research. Every word carries so much value and weight.
• No over-explaining.
Judges were bored when speakers over explained and asked the to get to exact point. they wanted crisp answers. When anyone tried to revolve the answer and not answer straight some other judge interrupted and forced them to be on the point.
Sitting there made me realise how much I needed to experience and learn.
