INKey Stage 2 SATs nedir?
İngiltere’de 6. sınıf öğrencileri (10–11 yaş) ilkokuldan ortaokula geçmeden önce Key Stage 2 SATs adı verilen ulusal sınavlara girer. Bu sınavlar, öğrencilerin ilkokulda öğrendiklerini ne kadar iyi kavradıklarını ölçmek için yapılır.
📝 Dersler ve içerik:
• İngilizce Okuma (Reading) – okuma parçaları ve anlama soruları.
• İngilizce Dil Bilgisi, Noktalama ve Yazım (Grammar, Punctuation, Spelling – GPS) – iki bölüm (kısa cevaplı sorular + yazım sınavı).
• Matematik – üç sınav (aritmetik ve problem çözme).
⏱️ Soru sayısı ve süre:
• Okuma: yaklaşık 40 soru, 60 dakika.
• Dil Bilgisi & Noktalama: 45 soru, 45 dakika.
• Yazım: 20 kelimenin yazımı.
• Matematik:
1. Aritmetik Kağıdı: 36 soru, 30 dakika.
2. Problem Çözme (Reasoning): ~20 soru, 40 dakika.

🎯 Önemi nedir?
• Öğrencilerin ilkokuldaki gelişimini gösterir.

ARHonestly, this is one of my favourite parts of what we do… 🥰 Our augmented reality face filters make history feel magical for kids. Instead of just reading about historic characters, they get to step into their shoes (or nemes 👑) and bring the past to life.
But the best part? When Mum and Dad try the filters too — it gives the kids a right laugh and turns learning into something the whole family can enjoy together. 💡✨

IN🌟Word within a Word⭐️
An example verbal reasoning game for primary aged children.
The words on the board all contain smaller words within them. The pupil has to beat the clock, finding and highlighting as many smaller words as they can with their finger torch.
This game teaches us to analyse the structure of words, breaking them down and identifying smaller components within them. It helps to expand our vocabulary by introducing trickier words and then investigating their meanings. It helps with spelling and pattern recognition.
Plus, finger torch = fun vibes. 🥳

The boys are still a little behind from COVID and although they have some intervention at school, I thought it would be good to increase their home learning in a fun and exciting way. @readingeggs has Maths and English programs that make extra lessons enjoyable. To start they do a test to establish where they are with the curriculum to start them off. Then as they work their way through, the difficulty gradually increases.
